PLATTSBURGH — For the second week in a row, Mother Nature caused havoc in the Champlain Valley Baseball League.
Only one of six scheduled games was played on Sunday, with the Fourth Ward Cardinals recording a 9-0 victory over the Fourth Ward Timberjaxx at Lefty Wilson Field.
With three weather delays in the first game, the second contest was postponed due to the threat of more problems.
The other two doubleheaders, featuring the Peabody’s Padres at the Lyon Mountain Miners and Fourth A’s versus the Meron’s Expos at South Acres Field, were washed out. The games will be made up at a date yet to be announced.
