Roto Rooter rolls to title in style

PLATTSBURGH — Harry Rascoe threw for five touchdowns and ran for three others to lead Roto Rooter (6-1) to a 54-0 victory over Damain Battenelli Photography and the regular season championship in the Plattsburgh Flag Football League.

Rascoe tossed touchdown passes of eight and 18 yards to Trevor St. Clair, 51 yards to Alec Currier, five yards to Chris Fish and seven yards to Elijah Parks. Rascoe also added touchdown runs of 44, 25 and 19 yards.

Rascoe connected with St. Clair on two two-point conversions, while Parks added two point afters. Matt St. Clair chipped in with an interception, while Mike Moran and Travis Lamica stood out on the line.


Chris Castine threw four touchdown passes as Maliniak’s (5-2) continued its winning ways. Chris Verkey caught scoring passes of 50 and 54 yards, while Mike Castine hauled in one from 13 yards out and Peter Wheatley another from 15 yards away.

Clint McCool contributed two point afters and Mark Thew an interception. Thew and Andrew Castine were defensive standouts.

Mike Douglas’ five-yard run put the Rebels (4-3) on the scoreboard. Kyle Rascoe added the point after.


Tom Livsey tossed a four-yard touchdown pass to Mark Golden and later added a 14-yard scoring run to lead Mama’s Boyz (3-4).

Austin Velie returned an interception for a score. Livsey also hit Jordan Gillespie for a couple of two-point conversions and to Golden for another.

Brett Long, Owen Hathaway, Chris Maulding and Craig Livsey also chipped with interceptions.

The Monsters got on the board when Tre Bucci connected with Jordan Knight from 55 yards out.
