BURLINGTON, Vt. — Another week, another new school record for Amanda Gadway.
The sophomore field event specialist broke her own school record in the hammer throw at the Catamount Invitational with a third-place toss of 42.9 meters. The Malone product bettered her toss by nearly three meters from a week ago and helped the Plattsburgh State women’s track & field team finish fourth at the event.
Gadway was one of four Plattsburgh competitors to compete in the shot put, taking fifth in that event with a throw of 10.57 meters.
In addition to making an ECAC-qualifying throw in the hammer throw, Gadway replicated the feat in the discus with a second-place toss of 40 meters.
In other field action, Victoria Reynolds placed fifth in the javelin throw with a throw of 28.8 meters. Kristie Pageau finished eighth, producing a throw of 22.42 meters.
Pageau also took part in the long jump, finishing fourth with a leap of 4.51 meters. Savannah Davis represented the Cardinals in the pole vault, finishing fifth by clearing 2.59 meters.
Katie Ehmann led a trio of Plattsburgh runners in the 1,500-meter run, finishing eighth with a time of 5:10.55. Lauren Templeton (10th, 5:15.82) and Jasmine Boncore 5:16.54.
Rosi Cummings missed the ECAC-qualifying cut in the 400-meter dash by the slimmest of margins as the senior finished second with a time of 1:00.27, just .27 seconds slower than what was required to ensure herself a spot in the ECAC field.
Lauren Carlino (10th, 13.84) and Roxanne Grolley (13th, 14.25) were the two Plattsburgh runners who took part in the 100-meter dash. The duo also took to the lanes in the 200-meter dash, with Carlino finishing 13th(28.48) and Grolley crossing the line in 15th place (29.84).
Megan Schweizer led a field of five Plattsburgh runners in the 800-meter run, finishing 10th with a time of 2:34.21.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Bryanna Mustapich (fifth, 1:14.17) and Kelly Siry (sixth 1:14.98) made up one third of the field.
