PLATTSBURGH — Marle Curle had an unbelievably strong game for the Hornets as they defeated the Cougars.

Curle scored 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field and 7-of-7 from the free throw line. She topped it off with six rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Plattsburgh jumped out to a 20-5 lead after the first quarter. Northeastern Clinton, though, was able to get as close as seven during the second quarter.

The Hornets closed out the game with an 18-7 fourth.

Olivia Carlsson added 12 points in the victory for Plattsburgh.

Allie Cartier had a great game on the inside for the Cougars, scoring a team-high 16 points.

SARANAC LAKE — The Mazzella sisters combined for 35 of the Indians’ 44 points in their victory over the Red Storm.

Meghan Mazzella scored a game-high 19 points, with nine of her points coming in the fourth quarter. Mary Mazzella tallied 16 points, with eight of her points coming in the second quarter.

The difference in the game proved to be the first half, when the Indians outscored Saranac Lake 24-11.

Nicole Viscardo, Megan Moody and Megan Kilroy all scored nine points to lead the way for the Red Storm.
