Josh Shaffer leads PHS bowlers past Saranac

PLATTSBURGH — Josh Shaffer tossed a 204-227-247-678 series at North Bowl Lanes Wednesday to help lead the Plattsburgh High boys to a 9-1 victory over Saranac in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling.

Harley LaDuke rolled his first 200 game for the Hornets, with a 214, and a personal-best series of 555.

Chris Fall led the way for the Chiefs with a match-high 256 game to go along with a 591 triple.

The Plattsburgh girls won by forfeit, with Emily Rohrig’s 170 game and 469 the top scores for the Hornets, along with Brooke Marbut’s 170 game. Saranac had just two bowlers, and Mary Hutti’s 150 game and 354 series were high for the Chiefs.
