---- — Coaches vs. Cancer CVAC Challenge this weekend

PLATTSBURGH — Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will open their league season today and Saturday at the Coaches vs. Cancer CVAC Challenge at the Plattsburgh State Field House.

Four games (boys and girls combined) are set for today, while seven others will be played on Saturday.

The admission price for spectators is $5 for each day.

5:30 p.m.- Plattsburgh High vs. Peru (boys)

7 p.m.- Northern Adirondack vs. Moriah (girls)

8:30 p.m.- Northern Adirondack vs. Moriah (boys)

10:30 a.m.- Lake Placid vs. AuSable Valley (girls)

12:30 p.m.- Seton Catholic vs. Ticonderoga (girls)

2 p.m.- Seton Catholic vs. Ticonderoga (boys)

4 p.m.- Northeastern Clinton vs. Beekmantown (girls)

5:30 p.m.- Northeastern Clinton vs. Beekmantown (boys)

PSU men’s hockey joins Chefy’s Toys for Tots campaign

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State men’s hockey team will join forces with Chefy’s Annual Toys for Tots campaign as the Cardinals host Norwich today.

The Cardinals are inviting fans to assist in the effort by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to tonight’s game.

Designated collection bins will be located throughout the Field House lobby for toy drop-off. All donated toys will be distributed to Clinton County area youth.
