SARANAC LAKE — The Red Storm (1-0) received a balanced offensive attack in a nonconference victory over the Lumberjacks.

Megan Kilroy led Saranac Lake with eight points, while Nicole Viscardo added seven and Marisa McDonough, Megan Moody and Regan Kieffer had six apiece.

“Getting balanced scoring is pretty much the way we expect it to be for us this year,” Saranac Lake coach Dave Zerrahn said. “We have seven seniors, and five of them start. They’re all capable of having good nights.”

Saranac Lake outscored Tupper Lake in every quarter and held a 21-13 advantage at the half.

Katie Stuart accounted for over half of the Lumberjacks’ offense with a game-high 14 points.

The two teams will play against one another next Thursday in Tupper Lake.
