“We played okay in the first half,” said Chazy coach Cory Thompson. “But we missed something like eight layups and left some points on the floor.

“We kept the full-court pressure going in the third quarter and were able to spread their defense. We finished better.”

Indian Lake/Long Lake 42, Lake Placid 22

INDIAN LAKE — The Orange were able to hold down the Blue Bomebrs Wednesday to take the victory on their home court.

Indian Lake/Long Lake managed to keep Lake Placid scoreless in the first quarter, and held a solid 21-9 lead at halftime.

The Orange were led by senior Colin Farrell, who finished with 21 points. However, Farrell had to leave in the middle of the third quarter due to a laceration near the top of his left eye, from an elbow to the face.

In his absence, the Blue Bombers able to cut Indian Lake/Long Lake’s lead down to 10 at the end of the quarter. Farrell eventually entered back into the game in the fourth and scored 10 of his 21 points in the final minutes to ice the game for the Orange.

Davis Moore was the leading scorer for the Blue Bombers with five points.
