Brenden Carnright added a goal and two assists, while Austin Bradish had a goal and assist, and Josh Barriere, two assists.
Dustin Plumadore recorded his fifth shutout of the season in net with 12 saves.
“Scoring goals in our hockey program is nice, but we put an emphasis on playing well in the neutral and defensive zones,” said Beekmantown coach Justin Frechette. “Dustin played well, we limited their scoring opportunities and a shutout is a team statistic.”
Carnright opened the scoring, with Bradish assisting, at 3:25 of the first period and Foster made it 2-0 at 5:17, with Barriere assisting.
The Eagles then added three more goals in the second. It was Bradish from Carnright at 1:23, Foster with Carnright and Barriere assisting at 9:03, and Foster with an unassisted power-play goal at 13:16.
“Foster is an explosive player,” said Frechette. “He’s able to produce goals at key moments.
“All our forwards did a good job on the forecheck. We were able to run three lines out there in the first two periods and four lines in the third. That helped wear Northeastern down.”
The Eagles held a 24-12 shot advantage and Cody Young finished with 19 saves for the Cougars.
Beekmantown and Plattsburgh High go at it at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Ameri-Can North Sports Center.
