Despite missing some layups in the opening half, the Cardinals took a 33-23 advantage after 20 minutes.
Plattsburgh was then able to open it up early in the second half and give the entire roster some playing time.
No Fredonia player hit double figures. Dalton Kashmer finished with nine, while Devin Case and Robert Lyles each added eight.
The Cardinals close out their conference regular season road schedule at Oneonta on Friday and New Paltz on Saturday.
“We’re 8-3 in the conference, with two road games left and five at home,” Curle said. “This win pretty much secured a playoff spot for us. We’d still like to be tied for second in the standings but are one game behind in the loss column.”
Plattsburgh has spent three weekends on the road in conference play and has come back with a split in each. The Cardinals are unbeaten in home conference play.
