Cougars shut out Hornets in CVAC hockey



Ashley Roddy put the Red Storm within a goal early in the second period. Beekmantown pulled away in the third with goals by Kallie Villemaire and Giroux.

“As usual, we ran up against a tough goalie,” Beekmantown coach Ray Guay said. “But we managed to get it done.”

Kayleigh Bell made eight saves to earn the win. Saranac Lake’s Katie Snyder turned away 44 shots.

Beekmantown will play its final home game of the regular season at 1 p.m. Saturday against Ithaca.
