Marlow powers LL All-Stars to blowout win

PLATTSBURGH — It was the fast start the Plattsburgh Little League District 37 All-Stars were looking for.

The squad, made up of 11 and 12-year-old players, defeated North Central North 19-2 in four innings in the District 37 semifinals at Melissa Penfield Park Monday.

Plattsburgh’s offense exploded for 21 hits in the four-inning contest.

Zach Marlow and Jacob Gregoire led the way for Plattsburgh offensively with three hits.

Marlow belted a home run to go along with two doubles, while Gregoire was 3-for-4 at the plate, including a double.

Cody Peryea, Elliot Hurwitz, Dominick Bordeau, Ryan Bone and Isaac Garman also registered two hits each.

Andy Lebeau, Matt Maggy, Zach Bieber, Nick Lebeau and Andrew Follmer managed a hit in the ballgame.

In all, the Plattsburgh All-Stars accumulated six extra-base hits on the evening.

Alex Thomas, Logan Farney and Chase Lyndaker all reached base on hits for North Central North.

Plattsburgh’s Bieber was able to pitch an efficient three-hit game on the mound, securing the win for his teammates.

David Mayer suffered the loss for North Central North.

The Plattsburgh Little League District 37 All-Star team will face the winner of Watertown versus South Jefferson in the District 37 championship Saturday in Lowville.
