Peru defeats Moriah in swimming

PERU — Ellie Silverman won four events Wednesday to help give Peru a 97-70 victory over Moriah in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls’ swimming.

Silverman won the 200 medley relay, 200 IM, 100 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay.

Alyssa Szczpien won three events for the Indians, while Carah Powell, Kali Dorey, Mary Barkla and Jessie Senecal each won twice.

Emily Simard won twice and Brooke Dever once for the Vikings.
