Open House Fun Shoot

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Rod & Gun Club will host its annual Open House/ Holiday Party Dec. 8.

The festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m. There will be various target shooting games along with shooting events, which will take place in their heated indoor shooting range.

There is no cost to participate. However, shooters must provide their own .22 ammunition, which will also be available at the range.

Town of Chazy to host open skate

CHAZY — The Town of Chazy will host an open skate at The Scotts’ Memorial Rink each Sunday in December from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

It is free and open to the public. Helmets are strongly suggested.


Ameri-Can North Sports Complex announces weekly schedule

PLATTSBURGH —There will be no stick-n-puck session this week due to a full hockey schedule.

There will be, however, public skating from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 8.


Radisa receives SUNYAC weekly nod

CORTLAND — Michael Radisa of the Plattsburgh State men’s hockey team has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 1.

Radisa was named to the PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut All-Tournament team with a goal and two assists in a 2-0 weekend for the Cardinals.

In Friday’s 4-1 win over Wisconsin-Superior, Plattsburgh scored two quick goals in a 3:12 span with Radisa picking up the primary assist on both goals. On Saturday, he tallied the third goal in a 3-1 win over Middlebury in the PrimeLink championship game. Plattsburgh travels to Cortland Friday night before wrapping up the trip with a stop in Oswego Saturday.

Both games are set for 7 p.m.


Keeseville Elks Lodge hosts Hoop Shoot

WILLSBORO — The Keeseville Elks Lodge will hold its annual Hoop Shoot Dec. 7 at Willsboro Central School.

Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the competition starting at 10 a.m. The event is open to all boys’ and girls’ 8 to 13 years old.

A birth certificate is required in order to place the participant in the proper age bracket. The participant’s age will be determined as of April 1, 2014.
