Boise leads Hornets over Chiefs

---- — SARANAC — Kayla Boise contributed 17 points and three aces as Plattsburgh High beat Saranac 3-1 in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball Friday.

Rachel Rabideau had 12 points and four aces while Kianna Dragoon dished out a team-high 20 assists for the Hornets. Kadijah Brown had 11 points and a team-high 10 kills and Maddy Bushey added two points and seven aces.

After dropping the first two sets, the Chiefs pulled out a win in the third set. Samantha Aierle led Saranac with 13 points and nine assists while Ashley Byerley had 11 points, five aces, four kills and one block. Ali Harpp had a team-high eight kills.

BEEKMANTOWN — Emily Anderson poured in 17 points with seven aces and seven kills as Beekmantown cruised to a three-game sweep against Saranac Lake with scores of 25-8, 25-13, 25-13.

Grace Kelly had 11 points, three aces, three kills and three digs and Michaela Lafountain contributed with 22 assists and two kills for the Eagles. Shannon Ryan led the team with 11 kills while Kendra Lafountain chipped in five digs.

Saranac Lake’s Nicole Viscardo and Emily Fountain both had three points while Sarah Parker had three digs. Viscardo served up three aces while Kylie Sapone added five assists for the Red Storm.

LAKE PLACID — Miranda Sheffer served 30 points, including 11 aces, to lead the Patriots past the Blue Bombers.

Sheffer also added two kills, four digs and two assists as AuSable Valley won by game scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-10.

Miranda O’Neill served 16 points for the Patriots, while Noelle Miller added seven kills and Mirissa O’Neill five kills and nine assists.

Jordyn Santana led the Blue Bombers with three points and three aces.

PERU — Brittany Kelso served up 14 points with five aces and three kills as Peru slipped past Northern Adirondack in three games by scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-21.

Rebecca Tenbuuren added 11 points, three aces, two kills and one dig while Maddie Kaplan contributed with 10 points, three aces, three digs and nine assists for the Indians. Anna Sardella, Allison St. Louis and Karlee Stephney each had one kill apiece.

Shonni Velasquez led the Bobcats with seven points, three aces, three kills and three assists while Whitney Mesec and Olivia Barnaby had six points apiece. Emma Trombley had five points and three kills while Hannah Charland had four points, four kills and three digs.
