Unbeaten Cardinals head to Tupper

PLATTSBURGH — The Adirondack Timberjaxx are the latest team to get a crack at the Plattsburgh Cardinals.

The defending champion Cardinals ran their unbeaten record in the Champlain Valley Baseball League to 10-0 last Sunday with a 21-1 and 17-0 sweep of the Fourth Ward A’s.

The Timberjaxx. meanwhile, had their best day of the season thus far with a 9-4 and 5-0 sweep of Loreman’s Royals in Plattsburgh.

Adirondack (3-7) hosts the Cardinals today at noon in Tupper Lake in one of four twinbills on the schedule.

Player of the Week

Mike White, Expos

White rapped out five hits on the day, including two doubles. as the Expos took two from the Mudhens. White drove in three runs in the opener.

Pitcher of the Week

Aaron Judd


Judd tossed a four-hitter, struck out four and did not walk anyone as the Timberjaxx completed a sweep of the Royals with a 5-0 victory in Game 2.
