Clinton men roll over Adirondack

---- — PLATTSBURGH— Clinton Community turned defensive pressure into offensive scores to beat Adirondack 77-49 Tuesday in men’s college basketball action.

Kyree Hull led the way for the Cougars landing eight of 11 from the field, including three 3-pointers, finishing with 17 points on the night. Chris Miller also added 14 points in the win.

“We had outstanding defense tonight,” Clinton coach Kevin Daugherty said. “We used our quickness to pressure them and that created a lot of fast-break opportunities.”

Stefan Radan came off the bench early in the second half to score his 12 points and streach the Clinton lead to 20.

Mykell Crecko chipped in eight points but, more importantly, he grabbed 15 rebounds, four assists and three blocks for the Cougars. The three blocks brings his season total to over 30 according to Daugherty.

Adirondack was led by Josh Thompson who had seven points with Brett Smith also adding seven in the losing effort.

“Our main goal was to come out ready and come out defensively,” Daugherty said. “We’re a work in progress and are learning every game.”

Clinton will face Cayuga, Saturday at 4 p.m. at home.
