Collin Wood and Ryan Casgrove also scored for the visitors, who held a 3-0 lead after one period and an 5-1 advantage after two.

Dylan Baker, Jake Lilledahl and Matt McCasland scored goals for Saranac, with Lilledahl and McCasland getting their goals in the final minute of play.

Zach Lareau made 37 saves in net for the Chiefs, who were outshot by a 43-22 margin.

“We’re still battling some sickness and we don’t have the depth in back-to-back games,” said Saranac coach Ed Davis. “Churchville Chili is a good team.

“The kids played hard today, especially in the third period. But, we’ve taken a step back the last couple of games and will go back to practice and re-focus on our systems.”
