Daniel Burger paced the Bobcats with 10 points and eight rebounds, while Brady Smart added seven points and six blocks, and Colby Sayah, four assists.

NAC held an 18-14 lead at the half, but scored a combined 10 points after intermission, including just three in the fourth where it was outscored, 12-3.

“We got into foul trouble and then got tentative,” said NAC coach Nate Bilow. “The guys didn’t want to pick up that fifth foul.”

CHATEAUGAY— Devon Barnes put up 15 points and Matt Swanston provided key minutes off the bench as the Bulldogs beat the Yellowjackets in a Northern Athletic Conference game.

Barnes also had 12 rebounds. Noah Bowes added 13 points and 11 boards, and Seth Young scored nine. Swanston had seven points and seven rebounds.

“I was very happy with Matt Swanston coming off the bench in the third quarter after Devon Barnes got a foul early,” Chateaugay coach Mike Martin said. “Swanston is my backup center, and I’ve been waiting for him all season to step up. And he came in and played super. His seven points and seven rebounds all came in the second half. Had a couple of blocked shots. He did a great job.”
