PLATTSBURGH — After a scoreless game through 40 minutes of play, the Soaring Eagles (21-4-1) tallied five third-period goals en route to a 5-0 win over the Pioneers (16-9-2).

Caitlin Metcalf, Erin Weston, Ashton Hogan and Ashley Ryan all recorded goals during the final 9:01 of regulation to solidify the win.

Lauren Sullivan picked up her 12th win of the year in net, saving all 19 shots faced.

Each team finished the contest 0-for-4 on the power play.

Elmira dropped two games to Plattsburgh Jan. 19 and 20, losing 4-1 and 5-4.

The Soaring Eagles finished the regular season in second place and are in search of their eighth ECAC West Championship.
