WILLSBORO — Moriah’s Heather Curran scored the game-tying goal with 15:07 to go Wednesday as the Vikings played Willsboro to a 3-3 draw in girls’ Northern Soccer League play. The goal-scorer was incorrectly reported to the Press-Republican for Thursday’s edition.

Kilkeary memorial golf tournament Oct. 7

Hackett records hole-in-one at The Barracks

PLATTSBURGH — Jack Hackett used a 9-iron on the par-3, seventh hole at The Barracks Golf Course to record the first hole-in-one of his golfing career. Claude Morgan and John St. Germain were the witnesses to the ace.

Westport Central School staff members and students to be honored

WESTPORT — The Westport Hall of Fame Committee is hosting a golf outing Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. at the Westport Country Club to honor outstanding members of the staff and student body. The event is a two-person scramble with students paying $35 and adults paying $45. Following play, there will be a dinner at the Westport Hotel Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. for those being honored. Honorees this year include Tom Beauvais, Laura Davis, Julie Moore, Ryan Sherman, Alice Larock and Edgar Card. Please contact the school at 962-8244 for more information.

Bowl Mart Lanes hosting doubles tournament

CHAMPLAIN — Bowl Mart Lanes is hosting a 9-pin doubles tournament Friday, Oct. 5 beginning at 7 p.m. If there is no current average, men will use 180 and women will use 140. There will also be a “buy a strike” option. Call 297-6106 for more information.

Jock tosses 813 series at North Bowl Lanes

PLATTSBURGH — Cory Jock, bowling for Bluff Point in the Industrial League at North Bowl Lanes on September 27, tossed his first-career 800 series with a 257-267-289-813. Jock has a 204 average in the league.
