Falb gets 3 goals in Cobleskill win

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Freshman forward Peyton Falb, who starred at Seton Catholic, posted her first career trick last week as the SUNY Cobleskill women’s soccer team concluded its most successful road trip of the season, blasting the Phoenix of Wilson College 5-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) action.

Falb, from Morrisonville, also scored her first career game-winning which she struck in the 12th minute of play..

With the victory, the Fighting Tigers improve to 2-10-1 overall on the year with a 2-6-1 mark in NEAC action.


Southern hoop officials set meeting

SCHROON LAKE — The Champlain Valley Basketball Officials Association will hold an organizational meeting for the 2013-14 season on Monday, Oct. 28, in the Schroon Lake Central School library, beginning at 6 p.m.

Anyone interested in officiating either boys or girls basketball this season is encouraged to attend.All current members are asked to attend as the new schedule will be discussed.

Gosselin runs for SUNY Canton

GENEVA — Northeastern Clinton graduate Devin Gosselin posted her second fastest time of the season (35:25) to help the SUNY Canton women’s cross-country team finish seventh out of 13 teams at the Cross-country Only Conference (CCOC) Championships at Seneca Lake State Park.
