Sam Godfrey runs for 300 yards in Peru’s 35-7 victory over Ticonderoga to break the CVAC single-season rushing record of 1,497 held by the Indians’ Tony Montemorra. Godfrey is at 1,490.
Canisius College junior Nick Fitzsimmons, a former AuSable Valley standout, finishes third in the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference cross-country championships at Van Cortlandt Park. He covers 5.05 miles in 26 minutes, 32 seconds.

Dennis Dwyer scores on a one-yard run in the second quarter to give Saranac Lake a 7-0 win over Peru in a battle of CVAC unbeatens. The game had been postponed two days until Monday because of heavy snow in the Tri-Lakes.
