WEST PLATTSBURGH — Labatt Blue Light Lime is back on top.

Labatt Blue ousted top-seeded Big Boys/Plattsburgh Wholesale Homes, 4-2 in the best-of-seven title series to claim the A Division playoff championship in the Adirondack Slo-Pitch Softball League this past week.

It was a high-scoring playoff final, with the two teams combining to score 215 runs in six games.

Labatt Blue took a 2-0 series lead with 13-9 and 16-9 victories.

Big Boys/Plattsburgh Wholesale Homes then made a series of it, rallying to tie it, at 2-all, with 18-17 and 24-20 wins.

But Labatt Blue outslugged the top seeds, 26-20, in a pivotal Game 5 and then wrapped up the championship by edging out a 21-20 decision.

G & G TIRE WINS B

G & G Tire captured the league’s B Division playoff final with a 4-1 series win over Handy Dan D. Home Improvement.

The two teams split the first two games, with G & G Tire winning by a 10-4 score before Handy Dan D. Home Improvement drew even with a 20-16 decision.

The rest of the series, however, belonged to G & G Tire, which recorded 20-8, 15-7 and 15-5 victories.
