BEEKMANTOWN 7, SARANAC LAKE 0

BEEKMANTOWN — Kallie Villemaire poured in four goals and added an assist as the Eagles bounced back from a tough loss to Saranac earlier in the week with a one-sided win over the Red Storm.

Kiley Regan added a goal and two assists, Lindsey Gonyea a goal, Bethany Simpson a goal and Courtney Wilson three assists.

Beekmantown jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the half on a goal by Gonyea and the next three by Villemaire.

Lauren O’Connor recorded the shutout with 11 saves and Katy Hunt stopped 20 shots for Saranac Lake.

“This was a nice performance on both ends of the field for us,” Beekmantown coach Pete Bursik said. “After the loss on Wednesday to Saranac, I thought we came in with a great attitude.

“I thought Saranac Lake played hard throughout the game even though they are without a few players due to injuries. Katelyn Hewitt and Sheila Decker played well for them.”
