Lessons will be offered each Saturday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Adult chaperone packages can be purchased for $210 for the six sessions. No lessons will be offered for adults. Tubing packages may be purchased separately for all ages at a cost of $90 for the six Saturdays. Participants interested in tubing that are part of the Ski/Snowboard program may purchase the tubing package at a reduced cost of $50 for the six days.

Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation to and from Titus Mountain.

Registration forms, full payment and a recent photo ID must be received by Dec. 2.

Turkey Trot Walk/Run benefits food pantries, Fit for Life program

SARANAC LAKE — The 5th Annual 5K Turkey Trot Walk and Run will benefit local food pantries and Adirondack Health’s Fit for Life program.

This flat 5K Walk/Run starts at 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving at the Lake Placid Olympic Oval and circles around Mirror Lake to end back at the Oval.

Participants can pre-register by Nov. 26 for $25 and groups of four for $75. Registration is $30 the day of the race. Participants ages 12 and under can join at no cost.

Race day registration closes promptly at 8 a.m.

Turkey Trotters, who bring three non-perishable food items to donate to local food pantries, will receive a $5 reduction on the entry fee.

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third overall male and female finishers. There are additional prizes for anyone who finishes the Trot ahead of the mystery Turkey runner, outfitted in feathers.
