Jay/Black Brook holding basketball signups

JAY — The Jay/Black Brook Youth Commission will hold an additional signup for basketball on Nov. 20 from 6-7 p.m. at the Jay Community Center.

Children in grades 1-6 who live in Jay, Black Brook or Wilmington are eligible to play. If unable to attend, contact Austin Depo at 420-3772 or additional forms are available at the Jay and Black Brook town offices.

Town of Plattsburgh offering ski/snowboard club

PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Parks & Recreation Department is offering a ski/snowboard club to all Town of Plattsburgh youth ages 8-18 at Titus Mountain.

Cost for each youth participant is $120, which includes six preselected sessions (Jan. 11, Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8, March 1 and March 8).

Each participant may purchase a rental package for $99 for the six sessions. Lessons will be offered each Saturday from 2-3 p.m. Adult chaperone packages can be purchased for $210 for the six sessions. No lessons will be offered for adults.

Tubing packages may be purchased separately for all ages at a cost of $90 for six Saturdays. Participants interested in tubing that are part of the ski/snowboard program may purchase the tubing package at a reduced cost of $50 for the six days.

Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to and from Titus Mountain. Registration forms can be found online at townofplattsburghrecreation.com or at our office at 151 Banker Road.

Registration forms, full payment and a recent photo ID must be received by Dec. 2. For more information, call 562-6860.

NIS holding club volleyball tryouts

SARANAC — Northern Impact Sports is holding tryouts for its girls’ club volleyball team for ages 14-18.

The two-day tryout will be held Nov. 24 and Dec. 8 at Saranac High School from 1-4 p.m. Players are required to attend both days of tryouts. Registrations and check-in begin at 12:30 p.m. Tryouts will start promptly at 1 pm.
