Jack Tolosky pitched the first five innings in taking the loss, and Robby Knowles finished up for PHS.

“Jack and Robby were both good,” Plattsburgh coach Jim Manchester said. “They got a couple of runs on Jack in the third on a walk, hit batsman and a couple of singles.”

Knowles accounted for two of the Hornets’ hits, with Nate Emery and Mohamed Eltahir getting the others.

“It seemed that we would get runners on base after two were out the entire trip and weren’t able to get the clutch hit,” Manchester said. “That was the story of the trip for us.

“We got good pitching and played good defense. I felt we were in every game and that was the positive.”
