Chazy 19U girls’ hockey team to hold fundraiser
CHAZY — The Chazy 19U girls’ hockey team is holding a scrap metal fundraiser to help with the cost of attending the national championship in California.
The scrap metal can be dropped off at B & B Salvage at 9362 on Route 9 in Chazy. Going north, it is located just before Sample’s Lawn & Garden.
Malone AMVETS meeting April 4
MALONE — The Malone AMVETS Gentlemens slow pitch softball league will be having an organizational meeting Tuesday, April 4 at 7 p.m., at the AMVETS Clubhouse on Whippleville Road in Malone.
Any team wishing to be in the league this season must have a representative at this meeting.
PLATTSBURGH — The town of Plattsburgh registration for all the programs offered by the department throughout the summer and fall will start March 25.
Programs include baseball, softball, t-ball, swimming, fall soccer, summer camps and much more.
Summer brochures are being mailed to all homeowners in the Town and will also be available at the Town Office during regular business hours. Registrations will be accepted through April 15. All participants must register to play in the town they reside in before seeking a release to play elsewhere. Parents and guardians must sign the registration forms and include a birth certificate for each participant unless one is already on file.
You can register online at townofplattsburghrecreation.com or the form can be picked up and dropped off in the following locations, Cumberland Bay Market, Cadyville Gulf, Goldie’s Grocery, Lucky’s Mini Mart, Nadim’s Corner Grocery, Ukie’s Deli, Wooden Ski and Wheel or the lobby of the Town Office.
Anyone interested in coaching or becoming a paid official for games, should call the Recreation Department at 562-6860 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m, Monday through Friday.
PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Youth Bureau will host a Spring Fun Run Series on Mondays, April 8, 15, 22, 29 and May 6.
The races will begin behind the City of Plattsburgh Gym Complex at 52 US Oval, on the Terry Gordon Memorial bike path. Registration will begin at 5 p.m. and runs start at 5:15 p.m.
The runs are for youth ages 4-14 and their parents, six and under will be running a ¼ mile distance, ages 7-10 will be running a ½ mile distance, and ages 11-14 will be running a mile distance and parents are also invited to run the mile.
All the events are free and there will be a warm-up stretching and running tips for participants. Awards will be handed out during our final fun run. Any more information needed, can call the Clinton County Youth Bureau at 565-4750.
