Changes announced for Saturday’s PSU lacrosse game

PLATTSBURGH — The start time and location for Saturday’s SUNY Athletic Conference men’s lacrosse game between Plattsburgh State and Geneseo have been changed due to unplayable field conditions.

The Cardinals (6-2) will oppose the Knights (2-3) at 5 p.m. and the game will be held at Monroe Community College in Rochester.

Plattsburgh State reschedules weekend softball games

PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh State’s SUNY Athletic Conference softball doubleheader at Cortland, originally schedule for today, has been pushed back to Sunday, although more changes could be forthcoming due to the weekend forecast. Saturday’s doubleheader at Oswego has been postponed, and a makeup date will be announced later.

Towns of Altona, Ellenburg holding sports sign-ups

ELLENBURG — The Towns of Altona and Ellenburg will be holding sign-ups for swimming, t-ball, softball and baseball from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 1 at Northern Adirondack Elementary School in the main lobby.

This will be the only time to sign up for summer swimming and you must sign your child up in person. Additional sign-ups for t-ball, softball and baseball will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 8 at the town offices: Altona, 3124 Miner Farm Road; and Ellenburg, 13 Brandy Brook Road, Ellenburg Center.

Forms can be downloaded at townofaltonany.com/youth-commission and must be turned in by April 8.

Peru Youth Commission to hold registration

PERU — The Town of Peru Youth Commission will be holding its registration for all activities from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. April 4 and from 9 a.m. to noon April 5 downstairs at the Peru Town Hall.

Activities include t-ball (ages 5 to 6), baseball/softball (ages 7 to 16), fall soccer (ages 4 to 14) and camp activities, including soccer, tennis, arts & crafts and baseball/softball. Youth must reside within the Town of Peru to participate and have completed kindergarten to register for summer camps.
