Men’s lacrosse at Morrisville State moved to today

MORRISVILLE — With the forecast predicting significant snowfall later in the week, Wednesday’s Plattsburgh State men’s lacrosse game at Morrisville has been moved to today. CYH meeting Thursday

CHAZY — Chazy Youth Hockey will hold its annual monthly meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Scotts’ Rink in Chazy.

AC North announces rink times

PLATTSBURGH — The Ameri-Can North Sports Center will hold stick ‘n’ puck on Friday from 5:30-7 p.m.

Public skating will be held on Sunday from 3:30-5 p.m.

NCAA Div. III tickets on sale Friday at Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. — The Plattsburgh State men’s basketball team will be taking part in the third round of the 2014 NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball tournament for the third time in program history on Friday night. Amherst College will serve as the host site for the three sectional round games on Friday and Saturday.

The Cardinals (24-5) will head into LeFrak Gymnasium to take on reigning NCAA Division III national champion Amherst (25-3) on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Plattsburgh State’s tilt with the Lord Jeffs is the second of the night as Morrisville State (21-8) takes on Richard Stockton (25-4) in the first sectional semifinal at 5:30 p.m.

The winners of Friday’s games will meet at 7 p.m. on Saturday night with a trip to the Final Four on the line.

Ticket for the Plattsburgh State/Amherst clash as well as the Morrisville State/Richard Stockton tilt will go on sale at 4 p.m. Friday and will be sold outside of LeFrak Gymnasium on the campus of Amherst College. Prices are $7 for adults and $4 for senior citizens, students and children. Youngsters under two years of age will be admitted free of charge.
