FA finishes second

MALONE — Evan Hanna carded an 87 to lead Franklin Academy to a second-place finish in Friday’s Section X Championships.

Elliot Vanier added a 90, Alexandra Sprague a 91, Davis Sprague a 93, Cole DePuy a 99 and Dylan Fleury a 104 for the Huskies.

“I’m so proud of the team — every one of the players represented Franklin Academy well today,” FA coach Chris Kelley said. “The conditions were absolutely brutal, 43 degrees, 20 miles-per-hour north winds and a course saturated with water.

“Four players — Evan, Elliot, Alexandra and Davis — will return for Saturday and the medalist round.”
