Chateaugay, North Star, Bangor win in CYO

MALONE — Chateaugay, North Star and Bangor all picked up victories this past weekend in the Franklin CYO Basketball League.

North Star holds down first place with a 5-1 record, while Chateaugay and Bangor at tied for third with 3-2 marks.

Adam Beane once again led Chateaugay with 20 points, followed by Zach Cook with 13 and Colby Woodward with 12.

Maranatha was led by Matt Fish and Sean Robideau with 10 points each.

NORTH STAR 63LANGDON SURVEYORS 26

Jared Webb tossed in 20 points for North Star and Alex Shackett finished with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds. Mike LaVoie and Justin Preve chipped in with nine points apiece.

Abe Gravel paced Langdon with six points, 14 rebounds and five assists.

BANGOR 50ST. JOHN BOSCO 38

Leading the way for Bangor was Brandon Woods with 21 points and seven steals, Brandon Marshall 11 points, and Shon Johal with a double-double of 10 points and 15 rebounds.

St. John Bosco was paced by John Armstrong with a double-double of 16 points and 17 rebounds, while Austin Gonia added nine points and eight steals.
