Douglas helps Beekmantown boys blank NCCS in bowling

PLATTSBURGH — The Beekmantown boys, led by Ryan Douglas, were on their mark Wednesday afternoon at North Bowl Lanes.

Douglas fired a sensational 246-257-289-792 series to help give the Eagles a 10-0 shutout of Northeastern Clinton in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling.

Four other Eagles rolled 600 or better, including Ryan Munson with a 231-256-681, Matt Corrow a 213-220-224-657, James St. Denis a 212-224-633, and Austin Delisle a 202-219-601.

The Cougars also bowled well, with Matt Jolicoeur recording a 203-268-657 and Chris Kokes a 225-235-651.

Meanwhile, the Beekmantown girls also continued to win every point with a 4-0 shutout as Cheyanne Reeves led the way with a 193 game and 552 series. Paedyn Mattioli added a team-high 193 game.

Maddie Dumas’ 191 game and 490 triple were the high scores for Northeastern Clinton.

TICONDEROGA — Jonathan Bowman took his talents on the road and tossed a 225-279-204-718 series to power the Peru boys to a win.

Kyle Mendofik added a 222 game and 586 triple for the Indians, while Keegan Kemp had a 201 game and 560 set.

Seventh-grader Gavin Fleury highlighted the Sentinels’ performance 222-218-603 series — his first 600 — and Cole Frasier followed with a 203-239-575.

The girls’ match was split, with Abby Boudrieau tossing a 174-179-512 triple and Karri Kusalonis a 182-495 for the Indians and Cheyanne Tuthill a 198-500 and Jeanette Coon a 181-499 for Ticonderoga.
