Chazy boys’ soccer bottle drive is Jan. 4

CHAZY — The Chazy boys’ soccer team will be holding a bottle drive to benefit its 2013 championship banquet at the school parking lot Jan. 4.

VanArman has two first-place finishes

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. — Bailey VanArman, who recorded two first-place finishes at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center Swim Meet, had his first name left out of the Dec. 31 edition of Sports Shorts.

The Press-Republican regrets the omission.

Fireman’s No-Tap Tournament Jan. 4 through Jan. 26

MALONE — The 22nd Annual Constable Volunteer Fire Department will be having its Team No-Tap Tournament at Lucky Strike Lanes in Malone starting Jan. 4 and running through Jan. 26.

Teams consist of five people with an entry fee of $70 per team. There are squads every weekend and those interested do not have to be a league bowler to participate.

This is a fundraiser for the fire department.

10 for 10 club forms at Lucky Strike

MALONE — Lucky Strike Lanes is forming a 10 for 10 club, which will begin Jan. 13. Teams consist of two or three people per team. The cost is $10 per week per person for 10 weeks and everyone will receive a bowling ball.

Adult/Youth League forming

MALONE — There will be an Adult/Youth League at Lucky Strike Lanes starting Jan. 10 at 7 p.m.

Teams consist of two people per team. The cost is $13 per week per bowler and everyone will receive a Columbia 300 Freeze Bowling Ball.

Cock-A-Doodle-Shoe Snowshoe Race Jan. 18

On Jan. 18, DION Snowshoes will heat up winter on the Adirondack Coast with the second annual Cock-A-Doodle-Shoe Snowshoe Race.
