Moore helps Seton Catholic past Lake Placid

PLATTSBURGH — Hailey Moore tallied a season-high 17 points as Seton Catholic pushed past Lake Placid in a girls’ Northern Basketball League contest Monday.

Paige Spittler added 12 points for the Knights.

“We used a big second and third quarter to take control of the game,” Seton Catholic coach Danielle Castine said. “The Blue Bombers made us work hard on every possession. It was a great overall team win.”

The Knights outscored Lake Placid 34-8 over the second and third quarter.

Chloe Uebrick had a strong game for the Blue Bombers with 13 points.

Westport 48, Crown Point 31

CROWN POINT — Brendee Russell poured in 16 points as the Eagles knocked off the Panthers.

Sarah Looby added 11 points, as Crown Point pulled away with a 27-14 second half.

Amanda Wolf finished with a game-high 18 points to lead the way for the Panthers. Brittany Foote tossed in seven points.

Ryan Davis and Anderson Gay each chipped in with 12 points for Westport.

The Eagles outscored Crown Point 31-17 in the second half.

Noah Macey paced the Panthers with 14 points, while Jaice Spring added 11 points.
