YMCA teen ski trips still have openings

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh YMCA is offering ski trips for those in grades four through 10. Trips are scheduled on Saturdays to Titus Mountain for night skiing and snowboarding. The next trip is on Saturday and there are still openings.

Participants are to be dropped off at 3 p.m. and picked up by 11 p.m. at the YMCA in Plattsburgh. Prices are $35 for members and $45 for non-members of the YMCA. This includes lift ticket, transportation to the mountain via YMCA vehicles and supervision by YMCA staff.

Ski and snowboard rentals are available at the mountain for an extra fee and all participants must have appropriate helmets. To register, or to obtain more information, call the Plattsburgh YMCA, at 561-4290.

A-C North to hold stick-n-puck, public skating

PLATTSBURGH — The Ameri-Can North Sports Center will be holding stick-n-puck from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, December 27, and public skating from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 27 and from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 28.

On Monday, December 30, there will be an expanded schedule posted for the school break. Go to ameri-cannorthsportscenter.com on Monday to view the schedule.

“Walks About Town” to resume January 1

PLATTSBURGH — The “Walks About Town,” led by the Algonquin Chapter of the ADK, will resume on Wednesday, January 1. The activity will continue every Wednesday.

Meet at 3 p.m. on the steps of City Hall for a walk around a Plattsburgh neighborhood. The leader is Lynn Valenti.
