North Country Baseball Clinic set for Dec. 27

PLATTSBURGH — The second-annual North Country Baseball Christmas Clinic will be held Friday, December 27 at the Crete Civic Center.

There will be a pitching/catching clinic from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. There will then be a hitting/defense clinic from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The cost for each clinic is $25 for $40 in you register for both at

Each session is limited to 50 campers. Plattsburgh State head baseball coach Kris Doorey and assistant coach Zack Welch, along with collegiate baseball players, will be the instructors.


CYH hosts skills clinic Dec. 26 and 27

CHAZY — Chazy Youth Hockey will be conducting a skills clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Scotts’ Arena in Chazy Dec. 26 and 27.

The clinic will focus on power skating and stick handling. Technique and form will also be emphasized.

The morning session will run from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon session will occur from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

The cost will be $10 per day for Chazy Youth Hockey members and $15 for non-members. Learn-to-skate players are discouraged from attending

KYC holds Whiteface Ski Program signups

The Keeseville Youth Commission will be holding signups for the Whiteface Ski Program from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

The signups will be held at the Town of AuSable building. Those interested are encouraged to bring their child as pictured need to be taken.
