Corrow breaks 800, sets CVAC record in Eagles' win

PLATTSBURGH — It was a record-setting day for Matt Corrow at North Bowl Lanes Wednesday afternoon.

Corrow fired a 255-266-279-800 series to power the Beekmantown boys to a 10-0 win over Willsboro.

It was the first 800 ever bowled in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference play and broke the previously mark of 799, set by former Beekmantown bowler A.J. Brunet.

It was another big day for the Eagles, who had six other bowlers roll 600 series or better.

Austin Delisle added a 673 triple, James St. Denis a 648, Ryan Douglas a 621, Dennon Walantus a 619, Andrew Baker a 613 and Ryan Munson a 611. One of Douglas’ games was a 245.

Connor Sheehan paced the Warriors with a 163 game and 443 series.

The Beekmantown girls also stayed perfect with a 4-0 victory as Paedyn Mattioli once again led the way with a 207-246-614 series.

Sara Munson added a 202 game and 549 series, while Alyza Agoney tossed a 201 game for the Eagles.

Gabi Yeager rolled a 185 game and 551 triple for Willsboro.

PLATTSBURGH — Despite being overshadowed by Matt Corrow’s performance, Jonathan Bowman continued to put up huge scores for the Peru boys as he tossed a 258-225-288-771 series at North Bowl, leading the Indians to their shutout.

Kyle Mendofik added a 229-208-254-691 triple for the Indians.

Joey Robert paced Northeastern Clinton with a 245-221-619 set and Matt Jolicoeur was next with a 195-204-590.

In the girls’ match, senior Karri Kusalonis tossed the first 600 series of her bowling career as her 202-214-204-620 powered the Peru girls to their shutout. Briaunna Varno was next with a 500 triple.

Jaden Gosselin rolled a 176 game and 454 triple for the Cougars.
