PLATTSBURGH — Clinton Community College goalie Emily Schultz has been chosen for Region III first team honors, as well as Mountain Valley all-conference accolades.
In two years, Schultz played in 30 games and was in the top five in the region for goals-against-average and save percentage. She recorded 341 saves and posted 14 shutouts.
“I’m so happy for Emily — she has worked so hard and really deserves this recognition,” said Clinton coach Donna Dixon. “Emily’s ability to read and react to shots outside the box, and her quick reactions to ball in the six-yard box, have been unbelievable.
“Emily’s years of goalie clinics have really paid off as she has remarkable technique. She not only has great ability and instincts, but she is a great student of the game.”
