Red Storm edge Indians in tiebreaker

PERU — Saranac Lake’s Ethan Sawyer and Dustin Fischer shared medalist honors with 38s at Adirondack Golf & Country Club on Friday.

The Red Storm, however, need to win a tiebreaker 160-170 to decide the match after they battled Peru to a 3-all tie in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action.

Sawyer, Fischer and Austin Ecret won matches for Saranac Lake. Ecret turned in a 41.

Christian Mattila, Gavin Plimpton and Kyle Miller won their matches for the Indians. Plimpton finished with a 41, and Mattila had a 42.

The low round for Peru was Jordan Guay’s 40 in his loss to Sawyer in the No. 1 match.

NORTHEASTERN CLINTON 6, TICONDEROGA 0

ROUSES POINT — Nolan Reid was medalist with a 37 at the North Country Golf Club as the Cougars blanked the Sentinels.

Every Northeastern Clinton golfer broke 50, with Alex Duffy carding a 43, Chad Littlefield a 44, Cody Young a 44, Chris Kokes a 45 and Zachary Guay a 47.

Nick Bezon turned in the low round for Ticonderoga with a 45.

PLATTSBURGH 5, BEEKMANTOWN 1

PLATTSBURGH — Nick Dodd was medalist at Bluff Point with a 43 while leading the Hornets past the Eagles.

Andre Poirier added a 44 and Alec Odnoha a 46 for Plattsburgh in winning their matches. T.J. LaPoint and Jake Messner also picked up wins for the Hornets.

Alex Faruqi won the lone match for the Eagles. Tyler Begor’s 46 was the low round for Beekmantown.
