Stick-puck, public-skating sessions slated

PLATTSBURGH — Can-Am North Sports Arena will be open for stick-n-puck sessions on Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

The center also will be open for public skating, Sunday, from 2:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

NAC Bobcat Open scheduled for Aug. 13

PORT KENT — The Northern Adirondack Bobcat Open golf tournament will be held Aug. 13 at Harmony Golf Club. The four-person scramble, a benefit for the Northern Adirondack boys’ basketball program, will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

The cost is $55 for non-members and $45 for members and includes golf, cart, prizes and a meal afterward. Entries will be limited to the first 14 to 18 paid teams.

Horseshoe league now forming

PLATTSBURGH — American Legion Post 1619’s West Plattsburgh Wednesday night league will be starting May 8 at 6 p.m.

Creation of 25-and-over women’s hockey team

PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh organization is looking for women 25-and-over, who want to have fun playing on a women’s hockey team.

The organizational evaluation meeting is May 20 at 7:15 p.m. at the Ameri-Can North Sports Center on 90 Sharon Ave.

The organization expects time commitment, travel and financial responsibility.

Warrior Run registration opens

TUPPER LAKE — Registration for the second annual Tupperpalooza Warrior Run opens May 1 at noon.

Scheduled for Aug. 3 at Big Tupper Ski Area, the Tupperpalooza Warrior Run is a challenging 3.5-mile race made up of a mix of intense obstacles, treacherous mountain terrain and a lot of mud.

Participants can compete individually or as a team of four.
