CLINTONVILLE — AuSable Valley Athletics will be having their winter parent/athlete meeting this Thursday, Nov. 1 in the middle/high school auditorium.
A coaches meeting will start at 4 p.m. with the parent/athlete meeting set to start at 6:30 p.m. All winter athletes at any level are encouraged to attend. For further information, please call Athletic Director Kurt M. Munson at 834-2800 ext. 3112.
Barracks alternate shot golf
set for Nov. 4
PLATTSBURGH — The Barracks will host a alternate shot golf tournament Nov. 4 with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. The format is full alternate shot with handicap divided by 2. The cost is $50 per team and includes skins. Green fee’s and cart price for non-members is $20. Players 65 and older can play from the senior tee if that is where their handicap has been established.
Plattsburgh R&G Club will have open shooting Nov. 2
PLATTSBURGH — Due to increased demand the Plattsburgh Rod and Gun Club will have open shooting on Saturday Nov. 2 starting at 2 p.m. For more information about the club’s various shooting programs, including the Rough Riders Rifle Team, contact Norbert Yakey at 298-5161.

ROUSES POINT — The fee for public skating is $2 a person and will be offered on Nov. 2 and 3 from 4-5:20 p.m. Nov. 3, 10 and 17 (Saturdays) from 5- 6:50 p.m. Nov. 5 thru 9(Monday thru Friday) from 4- 5:20 p.m. Nov. 11 and 24 (Sundays) from 5-6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 (Monday) from 4-5:20 p.m.
The fee for open hockey is $5 and will be offered every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
PLATTSBURGH — Junior Kelly Driscoll from Geneva, N.Y. and Senior Colleen Coon from Penfield, N.Y. were named to the SUNYAC All-Conference team. Both runners helped the No. 33 ranked Plattsburgh State team to a second place finish at the 2012 SUNYAC Championships. Driscoll finished with a time of 23:47.18 good for sixth place and first team honors. Coon finished in ninth with a time of 24:11.36 which put her on the second team.
