Plattsburgh State men’s soccer playoff game rescheduled

PLATTSBURGH — Due to the impending poor weather conditions, the SUNYAC has moved the men’s soccer semifinals and finals to Plattsburgh State.

Top-seeded Plattsburgh State was originally scheduled to play its semifinal game Wednesday, but that game has been moved to Friday at 11 a.m. against fourth-seeded Cortland. Oneonta will play New Paltz at 1:30 p.m.

The championship game will be Saturday at 1 p.m.

General admission tickets will be $6 per game. All SUNY students will be admitted for free with a valid student ID.

High school volleyball sectionals postponed

SARANAC — The Northeastern Clinton versus Saranac quarterfinal volleyball match for Monday has been postponed. The match is now tonight at Saranac Central School at 5 p.m.

Class D boys’ and girls’ soccer new playoff schedule

PLATTSBURGH — The Class D boys’ and girls’ playoff soccer games for Monday and Tuesday have been canceled. All games have been moved to Thursday.

For boys’ soccer, Elizabethtown-Lewis at Minerva-Newcomb will play at 3 p.m. while Schroon Lake is at Chazy for 6 p.m. The Willsboro girls’ play Elizabethtown-Lewis at Camp Dudley at 3 p.m. while Moriah is at Chazy for 4 p.m.

Schedule released for high school football regionals

PLATTSBURGH— The schedule for the Section VII and Section X high school football class regional games has been announced.

The Class D game between Moriah and Tupper Lake is at Massena Central School Friday at 7 p.m. Saranac Lake and Ogdensburg play Saturday in Class C at 1 p.m. at AuSable Valley. Class C featuring Peru and Franklin Academy have the night game at Massena Central School at 7 p.m.

North Country Golf Club to host Frostbite Classic

ROUSES POINT — North Country Golf Club will host the 6th Annual Frostbite Classic Saturday, Nov. 3. Cost is $20 for the tournament and $20 for greens fees with cart for full course. The format is a four-player team with a tournament minimum 38 teams. The teams will be split into two-person teams and each pair will play a two-person scramble.
