In Saturday’s issue of the Press-Republican, two photos in the sports section were incorrectly credited to Rob Fountain. The photo that accompanies “Cards win regular season title” on B1 and the photo that accompanies “Peru scores early, often in semifinal win” on B3 should be credited to Tom Cohen.

at Spyglass Hill

MONTEREY, Calif. — Emily Jaye, a junior at Stevenson High School in Pebble Beach, Calif., recorded a hole-in-one, using a sand wedge, on the par-3, third hole at Spyglass Hill in a Monterey Bay League golf tournament on Oct. 4.

Jaye is the daughter of Donna (Dermatis), a 1977 graduate of Peru Central School, and Michael Jaye, and the granddaughter of Joan and the late Walt Dermatis of Plattsburgh.

Riverside Lanes bowling tourney to begin Saturday

AUSABLE FORKS — The 36th-Annual Riverside Lanes Handicap Bowling Tournament starts on Oct. 27 and runs four weekends to Nov. 18. It will be held on Saturdays on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, 10 and 17; and Sundays on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, 11 and 18.

Estimated first-place prize in the men’s/mixed division will be $1,200 and in the women’s division $450. Entry fee is $18 per person and $90 for a team. For further information or to reserve a spot, contact Riverside Lanes in AuSable Forks, at 647-9905.
