Beekmantown sweeps NAC

ELLENBURG — Kendra LaFountain (six digs) and Michaela LaFountain (25 assists) helped Beekmantown to a 3-0 sweep of Northern Adirondack in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball Thursday.

The Eagles jumped out to a commanding lead in the match by winning the first set 25-12.

Shannon Ryan was vital in the frontcourt, collecting two blocks and 10 kills.

Beekmantown closed out the second and third set with scores of 25-11 and 25-22, respectively.

Outside hitter Emma Trombley played a pivotal role around the net for the Bobcats, accumulating two points, one kill, four assists, seven digs, and one block.

Shonni Velasquez registered two kills, three digs, and one assist in the loss.
