Adams Glass keeps title hopes alive

In the second of two scheduled games, Adams Glass put runs on the board early and often, scoring five in the second inning and four in the third to maintain a 9-2 lead.

Adams Glass was hoping to end the game via the 10-run rule in the fourth with poor weather on its way, but was unable to do so.

The two teams sat through a one-hour delay before returning to the baseball diamond.

King, who made significant contributions at the plate in the earlier game, pitched six innings and earned the win in the second.

“Ethan King pitched a great game,” John Demarais said. “The team gave him the run support we needed. I’m proud of these guys. We made it hard on ourselves, going through the loser’s bracket, but we made it to the championship game.”

Uliva finished the contest with three hits, with Alex Lamberton and Kevin Sousa each recording two hits each in the 10-6 win.

“After the delay, I think Ethan King got a little tired in the seventh,” John Demarais said. “We were never threatened, but we had to get out of there and go home. The delay killed us, but everybody put the ball in play.”
