PLATTSBURGH — Winning pitcher Brandon Buksa struck out 10 in four innings Wednesday and City Police wrapped up the A Division championship in Plattsburgh Little League with a 16-1 win over Nu Way Car Wash.

City Police won the best-of-three title series, two games to one.

Dan Hartman rapped two doubles and a single, Buksa a triple and single, Andrew Bechard two triples, Ethan Goslin a single and double, and Alex Houghton two singles for City Police.

Jackson Geddes, Danny Bridgeman and Keegan Frenya each chipped in with a single.

Quran Carroll had the lone hit for Nu Way Car Wash. The losing pitcher was Cory Duquette.

This marked the seventh and final year for Frank Buksa as head coach of the City Police team.

B Division
McSweeney's 11,

Michigan's Plus 9

Mickey Pepper accounted for three singles and a double to help lead McSweeney's to its win and the B Division title.

McSweeney's fell behind 1-0 in the best-of-three series before rallying.

Garrett Frady added two singles and a double for McSweeney's, while Josh Burnell contributed a double and single, Colden Mrak two singles, and Hunter Bell, Adam Baldwin and Matt Svarplaitis a single each.

Brunell and Svarplaitis played strong defensive games in the outfield in support of winning pitcher Baldwin. McSweeney's scored seven runs in the fifth inning.

Taoufik Maknani belted two home runs for Michigan's Plus, while Matt Goff added three singles, losing pitcher Giancarlo Ventre a single and double, Nathan Szmalc two singles, and Alex Racine and John Goff a single apiece.

Minor League
Villari's 13,

Aubuchon Hardware 6

Tristan Dupigny hit a three-run homer as Villari's finished off an unbeaten season in the Minor League.
