Speakout: July 12, 2013

Leashes

If I see anyone pulling on their dog’s leash so hard to stop them, I’m reporting you. I see so many people pull so hard. How would you like to have that done to you? Dogs can feel.

Privacy

When customers go in to a doctor’s office and make a purchase, they may want a little privacy. If there are kids running around, it’s not professional. No one needs to see certain personal things.

Fee

Apparently Essex County taxpayers are not taxed enough. Now some of the people who run the county want to charge a county DMV fee. It’s just another way to increase taxes and try to pull the wool over the eyes of the taxpayer. Try controlling spending for a change.

Rude

I’m sorry but if you’re rude to me and my coworkers and managers, then don’t expect sweet and courteous service. I’m kind but not a slave. Unload your basket yourself. It’s not my job.

Flag

The tallest flagpole in Plattsburgh is in front of the old federal building. Why is there rarely or never a flag flying on that flagpole.

Home

Seems young people form an opinion that if some people prefer to live at home for a bit to save money, they are weird. Nothing wrong, with the way the economy is, to live at home for a bit.

Patients

If patients are at the age where they are just starting to go from pediatrics to an adult doctor, please understand that a parent may go to the first visit just to help the person remember everything.

Words

The Washington State Legislature has raised PC to a new level of silliness. The words “freshman” and “penmanship” are no longer to be officially used. I guess any word with “man” in it is fair game.
