Abuse

Stop abusing your pets. If you don’t want the responsibility of owning a dog or cat, then don’t have them. It is low to abuse an innocent cat.

Trash

Are Center City slumlords being fined for trash bins left overflowing at the curb? They tip over, and their dumped contents are seldom cleaned up. This is embarrassing when out-of-town visitors drive by. These slumlords are not poor; they drive fancy trucks and live in tidy neighborhoods. They need to be ticketed.

Calls

If you clearly know someone has a small child at home, any phone calls that are not emergencies should not be made after 8 p.m., 8:30 at the latest. Calling 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. or any later is unacceptable, especially if it’s something that can wait till the morning.

Election

Everywhere i went last weekend there was talk of the upcoming school board election. What I do know is every taxpayer able has to vote and decide our financial future.

Pets

Some people should not be able to have pets. In the last two months, my neighbors have had three dogs. They left one to die inside their home and hardly walk or care for the other two dogs. And now, they have a new pup. The dogs deserve a better life.

Tips

Regarding tipping, perhaps those individuals did not receive the kind of service they are accustomed to in Quebec. If Quebeckers are not made to feel welcome here, the writer of the Speakout won’t have to worry about tips anymore. That person will have to worry about having a job.

Phone

To the person who stole my phone, I hope karma gets you. You are greedy and so desperate that you have to mess with my life and take something that isn’t yours. I don’t know who you are, but I know that you are not honest.
